Note: The system requirements specified below are recommendations only, and are not a guarantee that Fienix will run on any specific system. Fienix may run on systems with less resources than specified below, to varying degrees of usability.
The minimum recommended system requirements for Fienix are:
- PowerPC 74xx (G4) at 1.2 Ghz (or dual-CPU at 1.0 Ghz)
- 1.25 GB RAM
- 8 GB HDD/SSD (base install only with no additional applications)
The recommended system requirements for Fienix are:
- 64-bit PowerPC CPU (970, PA6T, e5500, e6500, etc.) at 1.6 Ghz or faster
- 4 GB of RAM or more
- 16 GB SSD storage or more
Known Hardware Issues:
- Apple AirPort and AirPort Extreme wireless cards are currently unsupported
- Nvidia GeForce 4 series and older are unsupported
- Radeon X1300 - X1900 (Mac Edition) are unsupported
- Radeon 9600 may not render complex OpenGL (3D) applications correctly
- Supported Nvidia cards (including GeForce FX series and GeForce 6xxx and 7xxx series cards) may not render complex OpenGL (3D) applications or shaders correctly
- Supported Radeon cards are currently restricted to OpenGL 3.2 or earlier, even if the hardware supports a higher version
